The Arboreal XML browser is a powerful and flexible tool for content-based access to, and annotation of, XML texts.
Arboreal MWN is being developed at the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science. It is based on Arboreal developed by Malcolm Hyman.
Arboreal MWN is a tool for content-based access to XML documents. It is based on the "original" Arboreal, which was developed by Malcolm Hyman (for more information see here). Arboreal MWN is developed by Julia Damerow at the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science (MPIWG) in Berlin, Germany.
Arboreal MWN uses the Eclipse Framework. So far, it is being developed for Mac OSX only. Arboreal is open-source software hosted on Sourceforge and at the MPIWG. You can find its source code here.
A byproduct of Arboreal MWN is XeMeL. XeMeL is a desktop application that provides the Eclipse XML editor of the WTP's Source Editing project in it's own application. You can download XeMeL here.
